atom86 is a connectivity and colocation provider and makes sure that businesses can rely on connectivity and colocation in mission critical infrastructures.

The atom86 team has extensive experience with designing, building and managing infrastructures where failure is not an option. Using that knowledge base, the atom86 team has constructed a backbone with guaranteed maximum performance and connectivity, even if half of that backbone is not operational due to any circumstances.

The datacenter is providing 100% uptime since the beginning almost 17 years ago. In the last years several major sustainability projects have been implemented during normal datacenter operations, like Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) saving more than 85% on the energy required for cooling.

The datacenter has also implemented a solution for descaling the water – used for the cooling towers – by electricity saving more than 90% of the discharge water. Both these projects resulted in a very sustainable cooling installation and we are continuously looking for ways to make the datacenter even more sustainable.
