Overview
IAD data centers are part of the us-east-1 AWS region: US East (N. Virginia).
The Cosner Tech Campus, proposed by Amazon Data Services, Inc., is a significant development project aimed at transforming 329 acres of mostly undeveloped woodland into a state-of-the-art data center campus. Located at 4049 Massaponax Church Road and 9300 Cosner Drive, the project involves rezoning the land from Mixed Use-3 and -4 (MU-3 and MU-4) to Industrial-2 (I-2).
The campus is planned to feature approximately 1.9 million square feet of data center space, supported by two substations. In its first phase, the development will include two 250,000-square-foot data centers, a substation, an office building, a water treatment facility, and a logistics facility. The full build-out of the campus remains undefined, leaving room for future expansion and innovation.
