EvoSwitch´s new WDC1 data center is located in Manassas, VA near Washington, D.C., inside northern Virginia's technology corridor. The NoVa region acts as one of the world's main interconnection hubs for the Internet. The area&#39;s data centers attract a high density of communications, cloud and digital media companies for colocation and interconnection services companies that represent key segments for EvoSwitch.

The WDC1 data center in Virginia is located on a secure, 20-acre site within the 1,500 acre Innovation Park. WDC1 is LEED Gold certified and DOD- and DCID compliant and measures approximately 230,000 square feet (gross space) and will be phased into service.

This innovative data center features a unique two level design that places the 100,000 square feet of raised floor space on the second level with the accompanying equipment directly beneath it on the first level, creating significant efficiencies as well as the ability to increase critical power to keep pace with market demand for more densely powered space. Full critical load is expected to be up to 30 megawatts.
