In Virginia's Prince William County, a company with ties to Amazon has secured a significant tract of land. This acquisition follows the recent zoning approval for data center construction in the area. The site is situated near Dumfries Road, within the vicinity of Colchester Industrial Park.

Minnieville Capital Acquisitions LLC, known for assembling and entitling land for data center use, has purchased approximately 39 acres for $56.6 million. Although Minnieville is the listed buyer, there are indications that the actual purchaser has connections to Amazon, as suggested by property records linking to a Seattle address commonly associated with the tech giant.

The land is poised to become part of the expansive Mid-County Industrial Park project, which includes plans for up to 64 data centers. The Prince William Board of County Supervisors has already given the green light for rezoning in support of this development. According to projections, this particular site could accommodate up to three data centers, aligning with Amazon's strategy of expanding based on customer demand.
