Crane's Portland Data Center, located in Forest Grove, Oregon, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. The data center spans approximately 300,000 square feet across two stories, with a clear height of 30 feet and a floor loading capacity of over 400 pounds per square foot. It offers a powered shell and private suites starting at 1 MW, ensuring flexibility for various client needs. The facility is equipped with multiple providers of internet services, private lines, and dark fiber, along with diverse site points of entry and managed meet-me rooms (MMRs) for optimal connectivity.

Power and cooling are critical aspects of the Crane Portland Data Center's infrastructure. The site features an onsite 115kV substation with 2N feeds into the BPA’s transmission grid, providing highly reliable power. Backup power is ensured through N+1 configured generators with HVO fuel, offering over 72 hours of backup capacity. The data center also boasts high-efficiency UPS systems in an N+1 configuration. Cooling solutions are highly flexible, including air chillers, chilled water, and immersion cooling, with capabilities ranging from 150 W to over 500 W per square foot. The facility utilizes recycled water and free-air cooling, maintaining a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of less than 1.3 on average.

Security and sustainability are also paramount at the Crane Portland Data Center. The site is secured with a perimeter fence, key cards, biometric scanners, and controlled access points, along with 24x7x365 remote hands and security services. Multiple people-trap entries and extensive video recording ensure comprehensive surveillance. The data center is designed with sustainability in mind, using environmentally conscious materials and innovative technologies. It partners with a neighboring water treatment facility to access recycled water for cooling, further enhancing its green credentials.
