Overview
Critical Data House has proposed a massive 455MW data center campus in Williston, North Dakota, known as Project Fighting Pike. The campus will span 300 acres and feature seven buildings, each with a capacity of 65MW. These buildings will range in size from 275,000 to 500,000 square feet and utilize advanced closed-loop cooling systems with direct-to-chip liquid cooling.
Construction is set to begin in Q2 2025 and will proceed in three phases over ten years, with the first phase including two buildings. The project represents a significant investment, with $5 billion allocated for construction and an additional $5 billion for IT hardware.
The site, located at the corner of 56th Street NW and US Highway 2, was previously designated for a community development project that never materialized. Critical Data House aims to transform this location into a hub for cutting-edge data center technology and infrastructure.
