The Consolidated Communications Fargo Data Center is a state-of-the-art facility designed to ensure the security and continuous operation of your critical data. The center operates non-stop, accessible 24x7x365, and offers secure lockable cabinets within its expansive 1700 square foot area, featuring a cement slab floor for stability. The building's elevation is safeguarded by Aqua Dam flood protection, with concrete-filled cores and vertical steel reinforcing bars fortifying the 8-inch concrete block walls. The roof is equally robust, consisting of 8-inch concrete planks topped with a protective membrane and an additional 3-inch concrete layer.
In terms of connectivity, the data center boasts dual fiber entrances to ensure path redundancy, carrier-grade Ethernet, and redundant SONET facilities, catering to the most demanding connectivity requirements. Rack space options include a full 45U secured cabinet and a half rack 22U lockable unit, with dimensions of 84 inches in height, 30 inches in width, and 42 inches in depth, complying with 19" EIA 310-E standards. Each rack comes equipped with two 115 volt 20 amp UPS circuits and a 16 position, 20 amp power strip with circuit breaker, ensuring reliable power delivery with alternate options available upon request.
Security is paramount, with card access entry, comprehensive internal and external CCTV surveillance, alarm and key monitoring, door position switches, and request-to-exit motion sensors on all doors. The electrical power infrastructure includes three 208v 80kVA Eaton UPS systems, load balanced for redundancy, and a commercial-grade 650kW onsite generator for uninterrupted power supply.
The environmental control system features three 30-ton A/C and Data Aire HVAC units that rotate weekly, ensuring continuous airflow. Both the HVAC and fire suppression systems are backed up by the onsite generator. Temperature and humidity are meticulously monitored by Electro Watchman alarms, with ranges set for both low and high thresholds. The fire suppression system is equipped with ANSUL® SAPPHIRE® fixed nozzle technology, utilizing 3M™ Novec™ 1230 fire protection fluid, complemented by a Vesda system with continuous air sampling for early smoke detection and water detectors to prevent any water damage. This comprehensive approach to infrastructure and security ensures that the Fargo Data Center is equipped to handle the needs of any organization, providing peace of mind that their data is in safe hands.
