Backed by 15 years of data center design/build experience, Secant managed every aspect of the site selection, structural/architectural design, and construction of our locally-owned and operated data center.  With ownership and operational control of all facilities, we provide long-term stability and make decisions solely to ensure maximum uptime and quality customer experience.  

Secant's 3,400 square foot Tier 3 enhanced data center is located equi-distant from Chicago and Detroit. It also provides a North-South geo-redundant disaster recovery site for Grand Rapids, South Bend and Indianapolis-based companies.    

Security 

Constructed to FEMA 361 standards, the hardened facility and equipment yard can withstand sustained high or straight-line winds, even a direct tornado strike.    

The facility is protected with security cameras, intrusion and fire alarms, and multi-zone human safe fire suppression. Multi-factor authentication and escorted access only protects against intrusion.  All racks are secured with auditable access tracking for security and regulatory compliance.   

Connectivity 

Our fiber-rich, carrier-neutral environment offers redundant, high-performance connectivity options.  We offer robust internet connectivity with many diverse fiber carrier connections, dual physical entrance paths and house fiber for easy entrances.  Fiber or copper cross-connects and hand offs with physical and L2/L3 meet-me services make your complex connections simple. Carrier-neutral services for voice and data are available from 123.Net, AT&T, CTS, CenturyLink, Charter, Comcast, Frontier, and TelNet.

After completing rigorous third party audits, Secant's Data Center is both HIPAA and SSAE 16 SOC I compliant. Our standards, policies, procedures and security controls are meticulously documented and audited to demonstrate and validate compliance.

Our people make the difference!  Our Data Center Operations team provides 7x24x365 coverage to monitor network, power and HVAC systems, carrier connections, fire detection and suppression, security, and other equipment for the entire data center.  

Our dedicated professionals don&#39;t just work here; we live here and provide local, English-speaking support for everything from HP servers and 3PAR storage to Cisco switches and VoIP solutions. Our Certified Engineers carry the highest credentials from Cisco, VMware, Microsoft and HP and all Data Center Engineers hold FBI InfraGard membership.
