The OneNeck IT Solutions data center in Des Moines, Iowa opened in late 2009. This facility achieves one-of-a-kind classification as a "fail-safe" facility, built to protect vital information and virtually eliminate the chance of catastrophic failure.
The facility includes 20,000 square feet with a capacity of 6 Megawatts servicing 1000 cabinets. The facility is concurrently maintainable with 2N UPS, N+1 Generation and N+1 Water Cooled HVAC systems.
Other unique features in the building design include:
-Iris geometry scanners for personal identification
-The ability to withstand an F4 tornado
-12 inch concrete and steel-reinforced walls
-VESDA Fire Detection and FM200 Fire Suppression
-Multiple levels of redundancy and backup
As with all OneNeck data centers, the Des Moines facility is designed from the ground up for energy and cooling efficiency, providing minimal impact on the environment and local community.
