NTT Chicago CH5

NTT has acquired two office buildings located at 1200 and 1250 N. Arlington Heights Road in Itasca, Illinois, as part of its plans to expand its data center footprint in the Chicago area. The 12-acre site, purchased for over $27 million, is adjacent to NTT's existing CH1 data center campus. The company intends to demolish the five-story and four-story office buildings, which are either vacant or underutilized, to make way for new data center facilities.

This acquisition aligns with NTT's strategy to develop state-of-the-art data centers that cater to the growing demand for cloud computing and digital infrastructure. The new facilities will complement the existing CH1 data center, which currently provides 36 MW of IT load capacity and is part of a planned 72 MW campus. This development underscores NTT's commitment to delivering scalable and reliable data center solutions while optimizing underused real estate for high-tech purposes.
