Oppidan has commenced construction on a 90,000-square-foot data center in Carol Stream, a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. Located at 245 Kehoe Boulevard, the site previously housed the Henkel adhesives company, which was demolished in 2022. The facility is being developed by Power Construction and spans an 11.4-acre plot, with plans to potentially expand by an additional three acres in the future.

This single-story data center is set to become operational in 2026, marking Carol Stream's first data center. While the intended end user remains undisclosed due to NDAs, the project underscores Oppidan's commitment to expanding its footprint in the digital infrastructure space. With its strategic location in Chicago's western suburbs, the facility is poised to support the growing demand for data center services in the region.
