The University of Hawaii's data center is equipped with advanced technical specifications to support a wide range of IT services. The data center features Chatsworth Terra-Frame racks with vertical rails and peg and post mounting. Each rack generally supports 20 power connections, with options for higher capacity through different cooling approaches. Power and cooling specifications include 120V or 208V, triple-phase power, and 20 AMP (with 30 AMP available). The cooling system offers chimney cooling with a capacity of approximately 4 KW per rack, and optional back door cooling can increase this to 12 KW per rack. Network connectivity is robust, with 1Gb connections provided through a top-of-rack switch for each device installed.
