Physical Security

Keycard protocols and 24x7x365 interior and exterior video surveillance monitors access to CorKat’s data centers.
Cameras on each aisle.
Clients can be granted access to individual cameras.
For a rack, cage or suite, CorKat can provide special, dedicated cameras.
Only authorized data center personnel are granted access to data centers. All others must first seek clearance and be accompanied by an authorized CorKat escort.
All data center employees must pass thorough background security checks before being allowed to work in the data centers.

Controlled Environment

24x7x365 environment monitoring with alarms.
N+1 redundant HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) in CorKat’s data centers ensures that, should there be an HVAC system failure, a duplicate system is available to immediately serve its load.
The air in CorKat’s data centers is completely recirculated and filtered every 90 seconds to remove dust and contaminants.
The advanced fire detection system utilized by CorKat is designed to indentify and halt fires from spreading, should any ever occur.

Conditioned Power

24x7x365 monitoring of all power infrastructure.
In the event of a complete power outage of the multiple services in CorKat’s data centers, they have implemented power systems designed to run uninterrupted, utilizing conditioned UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) power.
CorKat’s UPS systems are N+1 redundant, with automated instantaneous failover in the event of a primary UPS failure.
If an extended power outage occurs, CorKat’s diesel generators can source their data centers indefinitely.

Core Routing Equipment

CorKat utilizes fully redundant, enterprise-class routing equipment in all of its data centers.
Fiber carriers enter CorKat’s data centers at physically distinct and separate locations, guarding against a single point of service failure.

Network Engineers

All members of our networking and security teams in CorKat’s data centers are certified and highly experienced in managing and monitoring enterprise level networks.
CorKat’s CNTs are trained to the highest industry standards.

Equipment Monitoring

24x7x365 monitoring of the physical health of production equipment, including:
Servers
Switches, routers, etc.
Pre-defined and user-defined checks for NAS, UPS, switches, etc.
IP responding, ports open/closed, website responding, etc
Bandwidth: broadband, leased line, T1, etc.
