Kao Data Newham

A cutting-edge 77MW data center is proposed for East London's Newham area, promising to be a cornerstone of technological infrastructure. The Bidder Street Data Center, spearheaded by SineQN and IXDS, will encompass approximately 60,510 square meters, featuring a multi-story data center, an adjacent plant building, and an energy center. This facility is not only a testament to modern engineering but also a commitment to community integration, with plans to utilize waste heat to warm around 13,000 local homes.

The development is poised to become one of the first 'Urban Hyperscale' data centers in London, marking a significant step in the city's digital expansion. The project, backed by notable industry players such as Kao Data, Legal & General, and Goldacre, is set to transform the former European Metal Recycling yard into a hub of digital activity. With a focus on sustainability, the energy center will feature water pump rooms, electrical substations, and transformers, all dedicated to supporting the high demands of the data center.
