Switch Datacenters AMS2

The state-of-the-art infrastructure of the Switch Datacenter Woerden includes uninterruptible power supplies and diesel generators. To achieve the highest possible resiliency, all elements of the electrical systems are fully redundant. A strong focus is on fire protection with the installation of smoke detectors, fireproof walls, placement of fire extinguishers and a gas fire extinguisher system.

Due to the redundant architecture, infrastructure maintenance can be carried out without any impact on data center operation. Air conditioning is key to energy efficiency and energy cost control; our currently designed and operated Datacenter has very low average PUE (power usage effectiveness). Physical access to the infrastructure of the data center site is highly restricted and for selected personnel only.
