Raxio Tanzania

Raxio Tanzania, poised to be commissioned in 2024, is set to become the country's first carrier-neutral Tier III data center facility. Strategically located in Dar es Salaam, close to the Central Business District, this state-of-the-art facility is designed to bolster the digital infrastructure of Tanzania and its neighboring landlocked countries. With a multi-megawatt capacity and the ability to accommodate up to 800 racks, Raxio Tanzania is a testament to the region's growing demand for robust and scalable IT services.

The data center's design adheres to the highest standards of resilience and security, featuring full redundancy with concurrent maintainability and seven layers of physical security. Spanning 4,000 square meters, the facility offers a powerhouse of 6MW of IT power, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The infrastructure is built with flexibility in mind, allowing for bespoke environments tailored to the diverse needs of telecoms, financial services, enterprises, ISPs, and CDNs.

Raxio Tanzania's commitment to sustainability and efficiency is evident in its cooling systems and power supply arrangements. The facility boasts energy-efficient indirect adiabatic cooling and a power supply that ensures 2N redundancy from the MV Transformer to the Rack PDU. With on-site fuel storage capable of supporting 72 hours at full capacity and a Power Usage Effectiveness (PuE) of 1.3, Raxio Tanzania is not only a hub of connectivity but also a model of environmental responsibility in the data center industry.
