Keppel Data Centres is embarking on an exciting new project with the development of an 80MW Tier III-equivalent greenfield data center campus in North Taiwan. This initiative, a joint venture between Keppel Data Centre Fund II (KDCF II) and Digital Decarbonization Solutions Platform (DDSP), marks Keppel's first data center project in Taiwan and is strategically timed to capitalize on the booming AI and semiconductor sectors.
The Taiwan DC Campus will be developed in two phases, with the first building expected to be operational by 2026. This initial phase has already secured a long-term contract with a leading global cloud service provider, ensuring a strong foundation for future expansion. The campus is designed to support the growing demand for digital infrastructure while promoting sustainability and decarbonization efforts.
Keppel's investment in this project underscores its commitment to expanding its portfolio of AI-ready hyperscale data center assets across Asia, leveraging its expertise in site sourcing, leasing, developing, and operating critical data center facilities. This development not only enhances Keppel's presence in the region but also contributes to Taiwan's leadership in green energy and digital infrastructure.
