Microsoft is significantly expanding its data center presence in Zaragoza, Spain, with a new campus near the Puerto Venecia shopping center. This ambitious project spans 59 hectares and represents an investment of €2.9 billion in its initial phase, with a total investment in the region projected to reach €10 billion over the next decade. The first phase of construction, costing €582 million, is set to begin in 2026 and will take three years to complete.

This development is part of Microsoft's broader strategy to establish Aragón as a key hub for cloud computing and artificial intelligence in Europe. The project is expected to generate substantial economic benefits, including the creation of 1,000 to 2,000 jobs during construction and 300 permanent positions once operational.
