Solaria AI Data Center

Solaria Energía y Medio Ambiente, a Spanish renewable energy company, has embarked on a groundbreaking venture with the Japanese technology firm DataSection to establish an Artificial Intelligence Data Center. This collaboration is set to leverage Solaria's industrial site in Puertollano, which will be powered by up to 200 MW of energy, providing a significant boost to the region's technological infrastructure.

The partnership is a strategic move for both companies, with DataSection bringing its expertise in AI and Solaria contributing its renewable energy capabilities. The data center will occupy up to 100,000 m2 of Solaria's facilities, utilizing the existing "clean rooms" previously used for photovoltaic cell manufacturing. These rooms are highly insulated and maintain superior air quality, making them ideal for housing the advanced computing equipment necessary for AI operations.

This initiative marks a significant step for Solaria's Data Centers division, reflecting the company's commitment to innovation and sustainable development. The AI Data Center in Puertollano is poised to become a pivotal hub for AI technology in the European Union, setting a new benchmark for the industry.
