Pacific Sunny Data Centre

Pacific Sunny Data Centre, operated by LG CNS, is a carrier-neutral hyperscale data center located in Jukjeon-dong, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. The facility spans 99,070 square meters across four underground floors and four above-ground floors, offering a high-performance computing environment designed for cloud, internet, and telecom operators. It supports over 1,000 racks per data hall, providing more than 10 kW per rack to meet modern infrastructure demands.

The data center is developed through a joint venture between the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and Pacific Asset Management, with additional investments from Dreammark 1, GS Retail, and Shinhan Financial Investment. Its strategic location near Pangyo New Town, known as Korea’s Silicon Valley, positions it as a key hub for digital services and technology companies. LG CNS, with over 30 years of data center operation experience, manages and oversees the infrastructure.

Construction of Pacific Sunny Data Centre began in March 2022, with completion expected between 2025 and 2026. The facility is designed with adjusted inter-column spacing to accommodate rapid IT equipment expansion, ensuring scalability for future technological advancements. As South Korea’s largest carrier-neutral data center, it aims to provide unrestricted connectivity services, reinforcing its role in the country’s digital transformation.
