LG Uplus, a leading South Korean telecom operator, is set to expand its infrastructure with the construction of a new data center in Paju, Gyeonggi-do. This strategic move is in response to the burgeoning demand for advanced AI and cloud services. The facility, which will be the company's largest to date, will occupy a substantial 73,710 square meters, offering significant capacity for technological growth and innovation.

The Paju data center is envisioned to be a hyperscale Internet data center (IDC), equipped with cutting-edge GPUs and advanced cooling systems, including liquid and immersion cooling technologies. This development underscores LG Uplus's commitment to providing robust data center services to both domestic and international IT companies, enhancing the competitiveness of its IDC business.

With seven operational data centers across Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, LG Uplus continues to solidify its position in the data center market. The new Paju facility represents the company's proactive approach to meeting the explosive increase in data center demand, further strengthening its data center portfolio and supporting the company's growth trajectory in the AI and cloud domains.
