KT Gasan IDC

KT Cloud has embarked on an ambitious project to construct a new data center in Seoul's Geumcheon District. The facility, named Gasan IDC, will be a significant addition to the city's infrastructure, boasting 10 stories above ground and five below, housing over 100,000 servers. This hyper-scale data center is expected to be operational by 2025, enhancing Seoul's capacity to manage the growing demands of data transmission.

The creation of Gasan IDC is a collaborative effort, involving DL Construction, KT, and KT Cloud, and is financially backed through project financing organized by Shinhan Investment. This strategic move is part of KT Cloud's broader goal to secure an additional 100MW of data center capacity by 2025, reflecting the company's commitment to growth and technological advancement.

In line with global sustainability trends, KT Cloud aims to establish Gasan IDC as a green data center. The focus will be on reducing energy consumption and incorporating renewable energy sources, positioning KT Cloud as a leader in environmentally responsible data management. This initiative is a testament to KT Cloud's dedication to ESG principles and its role as a pioneer in the data center industry.
