Epsilon Seoul is a highly secure and interconnected colocation facility operated by Epsilon Telecommunications, a subsidiary of South Korea's largest telecommunications provider KT Corp. The 23,145 square meter facility has 9 floors and 2 basements, offering 19" rack options for full, half, or quarter rack deployments with power densities of 2.2kW or 3.3kW per rack. The datacenter is certified for ISO 27001 information security standards.
The facility has robust power redundancy with incoming 220V/380V/208V feeds from two separate substations in an active/standby configuration. Emergency generators can provide 12 hours of backup power. UPS systems have N+1 redundancy and 10 minutes of battery backup time. Each rack has A+B power delivery feeds from diverse paths to the PDU, with smart metering capabilities.
Environmental controls include an N+1 water-cooled cooling system with free cooling capacity, utilizing cooling towers and chilled water pumps/piping. Fire detection uses smoke detectors and an automatic gas suppression system with NAF 3 and HFC-125 agents. Physical security has a 4-step access control system with 24/7 visitor management, speed gates, vein recognition, and door locks, supplemented by CCTV surveillance and security guards.
