NAVER Gak Sejong is a hyperscale data center located in Sejong Special City, designed to support advanced AI, cloud computing, and digital services. With a stable power supply of up to 270 MW from a 154 kV substation, the facility ensures uninterrupted operations. Its eco-friendly construction incorporates natural wind cooling from the Geum River, optimizing energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
The center features an AI-powered automation system, including robots for asset management and transportation. The ARC (AI-Robot-Cloud) system enables real-time monitoring and coordination of autonomous robots such as GaRo, which transports heavy equipment, and SeRo, which manages IT assets with precision. The facility also includes an autonomous shuttle, ALT-B, ensuring efficient movement across its large campus.
Gak Sejong houses 600,000 servers and is built to accommodate ultra-large AI models and high-performance computing demands. Utilizing energy-efficient materials and a hybrid cooling system, the data center supports South Korea’s digital transformation while prioritizing sustainability. As a key infrastructure component, it plays a crucial role in enabling next-generation technological advancements.
