Vantage JNB2 - Johannesburg II

The Johannesburg II (JNB2) Data Center, developed by Vantage Data Centers, is a state-of-the-art facility located in Johannesburg, South Africa. This 5-acre campus features a single, multi-story data center with a critical IT load capacity of 20MW and spans 355,000 square feet. Strategically positioned just 17 kilometers from the JNB1 Midrand campus and near the OR Tambo International Airport, JNB2 is also less than two kilometers from the NAPAfrica neutral Internet eXchange, making it an ideal location for cloud on-ramp services for large technology companies.

The data center is designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind, featuring N+1 redundancy across all systems, a highly efficient closed-loop chilled water cooling system, and multiple diverse power feeds. The facility is powered by the Municipality of Ekurhuleni and includes a 35MVA substation on-site.

Security is a top priority at JNB2, with stringent measures including 24x7x365 patrols, perimeter security, CCTV on all access points, and multi-level authentication and access controls. The data center also offers a range of amenities such as customizable offices, conference rooms, break areas, and secure storage spaces.
