Teraco's JB5 data centre, a significant expansion at the Isando Campus, represents a new era in sustainable infrastructure for Africa's digital landscape. Scheduled for completion in 2024, this state-of-the-art facility boasts a 30 megawatt critical power load and is designed with environmental sustainability at its core. Featuring innovative cooling systems and water management designs, JB5 aims to achieve industry-leading power usage effectiveness, reducing energy consumption and eliminating water usage in the cooling process. As Teraco's eighth data centre, JB5 will enhance the company's capacity to 156MW across its platforms, further solidifying its position as a pivotal technology hub for sub-Saharan Africa.
