The Rostelecom Moscow-IV Data Center, located in Moscow, is a cutting-edge facility designed to meet the highest standards of reliability and security. Construction of this data center began on July 29, 2020, with a planned capacity of 2,000 racks and a total area of 10,150 square meters. The facility is expected to have a power capacity of 17 MW.
The Moscow-IV Data Center is being built to Tier IV standards, ensuring maximum reliability and fault tolerance. This means that all elements of the systems and distribution channels are not only redundant but also protected from physical destruction. The data center will provide uninterrupted power supply and continuous cooling of IT equipment, even in the event of a system failure.
Rostelecom aims to certify the Moscow-IV Data Center for compliance with Tier IV requirements in three areas: design documentation, facility, and operational sustainability. This certification will make it one of the most reliable data centers in Russia.
The full-scale launch of the data center is scheduled for mid-2022, with the first 500 racks expected to be operational in the second half of 2021. The construction and design of the data center are being carried out by Rostelecom-Data Center and DataLine, which joined Rostelecom in early 2020.
