Dark Fiber

LuxConnect is a multi-tier and multi-tenant Data Center facility and dark fibre provider. It was founded in 2006 as a private limited company owned by the Luxembourg State. LuxConnect acts as a facilitator and incubator in the ICT industry and has been instrumental in the creation of LU-CIX, the Luxembourg Commercial Internet Exchange.

The company’s four Data Centers have different Tier levels (from Tier II to Tier IV) and feature a total net IT surface of 14,700 m². All Data Centers are exclusively powered by green energy. Colocation services are also offered directly to end customers.

Being carrier neutral, 37 carriers are currently collocated within LuxConnect Data Centers. Due to its central position in Western Europe, LuxConnect tenants enjoy very low latency connections to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris and London. Hence, data stored within LuxConnect Data Centers can be delivered fast to the bulk of all the major European consumer markets.

LuxConnect’s optical fibre backbone encompasses over 1,800 km of fibre throughout Luxembourg. The backbone redundantly connects all commercial Data Centers in Luxembourg and gives telecom operators a choice of 12 country outbreaks to interconnect to and from Luxembourg.
