KIO Merida 2

KIO Merida 2 (MER2) is a Tier II data center facility that commenced operations in 2019. It features eight ATOM computer rooms with a total technical floor area of 89 square meters and a height of 2.51 meters from raised floor to ceiling. The facility is equipped with six redundant 109 kVA UPS systems, capable of providing uninterrupted and filtered power to the installed equipment, along with an advanced battery monitoring system. It has a 2N redundancy in electrical equipment, supported by two 500 kW emergency generators with a 4-day diesel reserve.

The data center offers carrier-neutral connectivity, with current carriers including Altan Redes, Bestel, Megacable, Velecom, Ufinet, and Axtel. It incorporates advanced fire protection systems, including smoke detectors, early fire detection, and a preaction system with double interlock. Security measures include double authentication controls, 24/7 video surveillance with 90-day storage, and PCI DSS certification. The facility has a dedicated NOC for operations and network monitoring and is staffed with qualified personnel available around the clock.
