KIO Hermosillo

The KIO HER1 data center started operations in 2019 and has Tier III characteristics for high availability. It features seven ATOM computer rooms with a total area of 73 square meters and a raised floor height of 2.51 meters to accommodate racks. The electrical infrastructure is 2N redundant with six 219.6 kVA UPS systems that provide filtered, uninterrupted power backed by two 600 kW diesel generators with 3.5 days of fuel autonomy. Energy efficiency is enhanced through KIO Green renewable energy and a design PUE of 1.7. The facility has robust physical security controls including perimeter fencing, multi-factor access controls, around-the-clock manned security, and 90 days of video surveillance storage.

The data center provides carrier-neutral connectivity with major telecom providers already on-net. It has comprehensive fire detection and suppression systems in place. The operations team is staffed 24/7 to monitor and maintain the critical systems. Customers benefit from the redundant cooling infrastructure with a total of 112.5 tons of capacity. The data center is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and has obtained relevant certifications.
