The Regal Orion Data Center, known as SHINSEI MALAYSIA 1™, represents a new era in data center facilities. Designed with cutting-edge technology, this Tier IV data center boasts an impressive 99.995% uptime and a robust 96-hour outage protection, ensuring unparalleled reliability. The facility is a testament to environmental sustainability, featuring a primary electricity feed from natural gas and a secondary feed from the grid, complemented by gas generators and advanced green features like chilled water generation from absorption chillers and submersify fluid submersion technology.
In terms of environmental impact, SHINSEI MALAYSIA 1™ sets a high standard with a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) between 1.046 and 1.5, showcasing its commitment to energy efficiency. The data center's design eliminates the need for diesel backup generators, instead utilizing a scalable solar farm and rainwater harvesting to further reduce its carbon footprint and noise pollution. These features underscore Regal Orion's dedication to business and environmental sustainability, offering clients a rational use of energy and lower capital expenditures.
On the operational front, the data center is certified with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 27001, reflecting its quality management and environmental standards. The facility's construction is nearing completion, with an expected operational date set for December 2021. Upon completion, it will provide a net hosting space of 120,000 square feet with 4,064 racks in the Green section, and 175,840 square feet with 6,344 racks in the Ultra Green section, marking a significant milestone in Regal Orion's project portfolio.
