WIX - Willamette Internet Exchange

The Willamette Internet Exchange (WIX) has a rich history of fostering connectivity and community in Oregon. Established in January 2020 as a non-profit organization, WIX has grown significantly over the years. It started with a small group of dedicated members and has since expanded to include 12 peering members as of August 2023.

WIX has played a crucial role in improving internet experiences, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, by facilitating peering between local networks to support remote learning. The organization has also benefited from generous donations, such as the Juniper QFX switches, which have helped expand its infrastructure.
