WVIX - West Virginia Internet eXchange

The West Virginia Internet eXchange (WVIX) is a network hub located in the Charleston metro area of West Virginia. It serves as a focal point for network capacity, allowing participating entities to interconnect and improve network performance while reducing operational costs. By keeping traffic local, WVIX helps reduce costs and improve network latency for users. The exchange offers port speeds ranging from 1Gbit to 40Gbit via single-mode fiber at no charge. WVIX is now operational and accepting peering requests, making it the first exchange of its kind in West Virginia.
