TheSCAX - The South Coast Access Exchange

The South Coast Access Exchange (TheSCAX) is a pivotal internet exchange point (IX) serving Southwestern Oregon. It interconnects Ethernet/IP networks to enhance regional access and bolster the local economy. TheSCAX promotes the "Keep Local Traffic Local Initiative," ensuring that internet traffic within the region remains local, reducing latency and transit costs. Built in partnership with 600Amps Internet Services, TheSCAX offers peering and interconnect services, enabling high-bandwidth, low-latency connections for its members. This initiative supports a more resilient and efficient internet infrastructure for the community.
