The network allows participants to exchange traffic by announcing their network on a common route server with BGP-community support. Physical connections to the exchange node are made through isolated VLAN connections or direct optical fiber with a capacity of up to 10Gbps. RED-IX ensures a common regulation, uniform working conditions for all network participants, and adherence to the principle of network neutrality. The network also provides access to popular content from social networks, online cinemas, and commercial CDN networks, ensuring minimal delays for subscribers.
