MIX Roma - Milan Internet eXchange - Roma

MIX Roma, the eleventh point of presence (PoP) of MIX, has been operational since November 2023. Located within Cloud Europe, a Tier IV carrier-neutral data center at the Tecnopolo Tiburtino in Rome, this PoP is the first of its kind in Lazio. It serves as an independent and local Internet Exchange Point (IXP) with the following objectives:

- Providing a robust and diversified public interconnection platform to enhance the reliability of the local ecosystem and accelerate traffic growth.
- Expanding the peering offer with 270 new networks that were previously unavailable in Rome, accessible via remote peering for ISPs not connected in Milan.

The establishment of MIX Roma is part of MIX's decentralization strategy, aimed at facilitating local data exchange and leveraging high-performance data centers to attract content and networks.
