LINX Nairobi is an interconnection hub designed to serve as the Internet Exchange Point (IXP) for Kenya. It represents LINX's first footprint in Africa, offering future-proof interconnect solutions that can scale with the region's digital demand. LINX Nairobi operates as a standalone hub, ensuring that local traffic remains local, and is not connected back to LINX in London or any other LINX exchange.

Networks can connect to LINX Nairobi from various data centers in Nairobi, including iColo, Africa Data Centres, and IXAfrica. The platform provides a choice of interconnect solutions and allows networks to peer with any other network at LINX Nairobi, regardless of their data center location. LINX Nairobi is part of a global membership community with nearly 30 years of industry experience, offering world-class engineering and 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) support.

The membership fee for LINX is $130 per month, which includes a 10G port with 1Gbps of peering service at all LINX global hubs, including LINX Nairobi. Additionally, networks connecting from the new IXAfrica data center will have their IX peering fees covered for the first three years from launch.
