The Johannesburg Internet Exchange (JINX) is the oldest Internet Exchange Point (IXP) in Africa and one of the oldest 25 IXPs still operational globally. Established in 1996, JINX provides a neutral facility for operators to connect and exchange traffic (peer) in Johannesburg, South Africa.

JINX is available at multiple locations, including Africa Data Centres in Midrand and Samrand, Digital Parks Africa in Samrand, Dimension Data in Parklands, Hetzner in Samrand, NTT JOH1 in Centurion, and Teraco in Isando. It is managed by INX-ZA, an autonomous division of the Internet Service Providers’ Association (ISPA) of South Africa.
