INEX Cork - Internet Neutral Exchange - Cork

INEX, the Internet Neutral Exchange Association, is the premier internet peering point for the island of Ireland. Established in 1996, INEX is a neutral, not-for-profit, industry-owned association that provides high-speed, reliable, and resilient IP traffic exchange facilities for both Irish and international organizations. With over 128 members, INEX enables efficient routing of IP traffic, resulting in faster, more reliable, and lower-latency internet access for customers.

INEX operates multiple switching centers located in secure data centers around Dublin, including Equinix, Digital Realty, and BT Citywest Data Centre. In 2016, INEX launched its first regional exchange in Cork, providing a peering facility for the growing traffic volumes in the Cork and southwest region of Ireland.

INEX is also the developer of IXP Manager, a web-based IXP management platform used by over 218 IXPs worldwide. In 2023, INEX achieved the ISO27001 cyber security standard, underscoring its commitment to security and excellence.
