GeekNet-IX Taoyuan - Geek Networks Internet Exchange Taoyuan

Geek Networks Internet Exchange (GeekNet-IX) in Taoyuan is a neutral BGP experimental communication and learning platform that exclusively supports IPv6. This exchange center is designed for network operators to experiment and learn, providing a space for BGP peering and route exchange. GeekNet-IX does not support jumbo frames of MTU9000, ensuring a streamlined and efficient network environment.

The exchange is open to anyone or any entity, though it is not a commercial operation and does not offer SLA guarantees. Participants can connect via physical cables (RJ45/optical fiber), with the cost of optical cable construction borne by the participant. GeekNet-IX provides free 1G (RJ45/optical fiber) ports and supports physical cable access.
