GABIX - Gabon Internet eXchange

GABIX, Gabon's first Internet Exchange Point (IXP), facilitates the interconnection of multiple Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to exchange national internet traffic through mutual agreements known as "peering." This setup enhances service quality and significantly reduces costs related to local data transport by optimizing bandwidth usage. Established in 2014, GABIX is managed by the Economic Interest Grouping (G.I.E.), which includes 12 founding members and one user member.
