EG-IX - Egypt Internet Exchange

EG-IX, also known as Egypt-IX, is an Internet Exchange Point (IXP) located in Egypt. It offers a range of services, including Internet Peering, Colocation, and Remote Peering. The Internet Peering service enables direct network interconnections, bringing all networks closer and localizing traffic. This allows for the exchange of internet traffic using a single connection and cross-connect.

EG-IX's infrastructure is hosted in the Regional Data Hub (RDH), the first Tier III data center in Egypt, which features high security and controlled environments. The exchange aims to enhance network performance and reliability for its participants, making it a crucial hub for internet connectivity in the region.
