Echigo-IX - Echigo Internet eXchange

Echigo Internet eXchange (Echigo-IX) is a regional Internet Exchange Point (IXP) located in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Established in September 2011, Echigo-IX is operated by the Echigo Network Operators' Group (ENOG) as part of their efforts to enhance local internet infrastructure and connectivity.

Echigo-IX aims to improve the quality of internet communication within Niigata by providing a platform for local Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to interconnect directly. This reduces latency and improves the speed and reliability of internet services for users in the region. The exchange also supports the local community by promoting local business activities and contributing to regional revitalization.
