CyIX - Cyprus Internet Exchange

The Cyprus Internet Exchange (CyIX) is an Internet exchange point established in 1999 by the Cyprus Institute of Technology and three founding members: Cytanet, LogosNet, and CyLink (now part of PrimeTel).

CyIX has been hosted in the CYNET (Cyprus Research and Education Network) premises for over a decade. CYNET is the National Research and Education Network (NREN) of Cyprus. The primary purpose of CyIX is to facilitate the exchange of internet traffic between different networks, improving the efficiency and speed of data transfer within Cyprus.
