BatamIX - Batam Internet Exchange

The Batam Internet Exchange (BatamIX) is a neutral, non-profit Internet Exchange Point (IXP) based on Batam Island, Indonesia. Launched in early 2020, BatamIX aims to enhance network performance, increase resiliency, and reduce operational costs for its members. By facilitating direct peering among ISPs, content providers, cloud services, and other networks, BatamIX helps keep local traffic local, improving speed and reducing latency. The exchange also offers robust security measures to protect against BGP hijacking and other threats.
