AuvernIX - Auvergne Internet Exchange Point

AuvernIX is a non-profit association that has been managing the first Internet Exchange Point (IXP) in Auvergne and the Massif Central since 2012. The primary goal of AuvernIX is to facilitate the interconnection of telecommunications operators, enhancing local traffic exchange without relying on long-distance links. This results in lower latency, increased throughput, improved network resiliency, and support for the local digital economy.

AuvernIX is an independent and neutral IXP, open to all structures declared as network operators. It operates several points of presence, including POP Gravanches 3, Datacenter La Citadelle (LADD1), and the O2switch datacenter, all located in Clermont-Ferrand. Additionally, AuvernIX is interconnected with FranceIX Lyon and EquinIX Paris.
