CSI Piemonte operates a state-of-the-art data center that is a cornerstone of digital services for public administration in Italy. The primary data center in Turin spans 1,000 square meters and includes four large rooms within a security ring, ensuring the safety and integrity of critical services and data. In the event of a disaster, a secondary data center in Vercelli provides robust data and service continuity.

The data center boasts a high virtualization rate of 95% across over 11,000 servers, with a storage capacity of 10 petabytes. Around 2,000 services are maintained with continuous 24/7 monitoring, ensuring operational reliability. The infrastructure supports a bandwidth of 10 gigabits per second, providing fast and efficient service access.

Committed to environmental sustainability, the data center has implemented an ISO 50001 certified Energy Management System since 2017. Efforts are continuously made to balance the energy demands of new hardware and storage against the overall consumption, which resulted in a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) value of 1.47 in 2023, a commendable achievement in the Italian public administration data center landscape.
