Compass Datacenters is making a significant entry into the European market with its new 48MW data center campus in Milan, Italy. This ambitious project, in partnership with global real estate firm Hines, will see the development of a 2.3 million square foot campus in Noviglio, located approximately 14km southwest of Milan. The campus is designed to support more than 48MW of IT load, marking Compass's first European venture and Hines's inaugural data center project in Europe. With construction set to begin in 2023, the campus aims to cater to the growing demand for data center services in the region, leveraging sustainable construction methodologies to align with the EU's carbon reduction goals.
