CtrlS Kolkata DC1

CtrlS is building a new state-of-the-art datacenter facility in the Kolkata metropolitan area, scheduled to go live in Q3 2024. This Rated-4 datacenter, dubbed CtrlS Kolkata DC1, will span over 44,000 square feet across three floors (ground plus two upper floors and a technical floor). With a total IT load capacity of 16 MW, it is designed to cater to the growing demands of enterprises and hyperscale customers in eastern India.

The datacenter's strategic location makes it highly accessible, situated within 10 km of the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, 15 km from National Highways 6 and 2, and close proximity to major railway stations. Built to withstand natural disasters, DC1 features earthquake-resistant construction adhering to seismic zone 3 standards and is elevated 7 meters above sea level with an additional 1.6-meter rise to mitigate flood risks.

CtrlS Kolkata DC1 prioritizes performance, reliability, and sustainability. It incorporates a fail-safe power infrastructure with dual sources, N+N active feeds, diesel generator backup for 96 hours of N+N redundancy, and N+N redundant UPS systems. The datacenter also boasts redundant network architecture, 9-zone military-grade security, and advanced fire detection and suppression systems. Additionally, it embraces eco-friendly practices such as water recycling and a commitment to renewable energy sources, contributing to a lower carbon footprint.
