P3 Datacenter Hanau

P3 Logistic Parks is set to transform the former Großauheim barracks in Hanau into a state-of-the-art green data center campus. The 250,000m² site will be developed into the P3 Datacenter Hanau, focusing on climate protection and energy efficiency. The design promises a sustainable build and operation, powered entirely by green electricity.

The history of the site is significant, with the barracks having been vacant since 2008. P3's redevelopment plan includes decontaminating the site, recycling existing building materials, and implementing species protection measures. This brownfield development will also contribute to the local ecosystem through the creation of new habitats.

The data center campus will feature at least eight modules over a 200,000m² building area, with an electrical supply planned at 180 megawatts. The construction will unfold in phases over ten years, ensuring a future-proof infrastructure that aligns with the city of Hanau's sustainability goals.
